Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC), Mumbai was established in 1983. It is one of the finest engineering colleges in Maharashtra. TSEC is founded by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board. Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. This college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated to the University of Mumbai. TSEC is graded as an ‘A’ grade educational institution. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology branches are accredited at the degree level by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of the AICTE.
 
TSEC is founded with the vision of Perpetuating and transcending the processes of contributing to evolving supply chain of human capital for National Economy and of creating entrepreneurs and game changers to support heightened level of economic activities underpinning ever increasing human aspiration. The mission of the college is to acknowledge and facilitate various learning styles and learning abilities, to Understand various markets and cultures and to Pervasive and ubiquitous Information Communication Technologies for customized content for learning
 
Location:
Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is located on the very famous Bandra Linking Road. It's a 10 minute walk from Bandra station (W.Rly. & Harbour Rly.). Hundreds of share rickshaws from the station drop you to the college.  Most students prefer share rickshaws while some don't mind to walk upto the college. Accessibility to the college has never been an issue. 
 
Infrastructure:
Thadomal Shahni Engineering College is surrounded by many other famous colleges of the same HSNC board like MMK and R.D. National College and the very famous IIPM (Yes yes, Arindham Chaudhari). Just like many other colleges in the city of Mumbai, TSEC, too, doesn't have any sprawling campus. It has average classrooms and laboratories. Library is quite good and equipped with Wi-Fi. All in all, the infrastructure is pretty much upto the mark. Lack of AC's are a huge turn off. There are no hostel facilities.
 
Fees:
B.E Fee: Rs. 1, 02, 350/year NRI quota students are required to pay five times the above fee.
M.E Fee: Rs. 1.15L per year
 
Placements:
Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is a renowned college; so placements are definitely good. All the good companies place students with decent salaries. TCS, Infosys, and Accenture are the major recruiters offering an average salary of Rs. 2.8-3 lac/year with highest salary even reaching a whopping Rs. 11.3 lac/year. In short, 100% placements. Thadomal Shahani Engineering College has been the pioneer in setting up a placement cell right since the inception even when it was perceived as a superfluous department by most of the other peer colleges. It is one of the active places in TSEC.
 
Faculty:
The teaching staff at TSEC is good and well-qualified. They have proper knowledge about the subject. Teaching abilities, however, vary from professor to professor and depending on your luck, you may get excellent or average teachers. Lectures are communicated in English. All the teachers are extremely friendly and sharing an amazing rapoort with the students.
 
Attendance:
Attendance is not a very big issue at Thadomal Shahani but they do stress on it sometimes. So one needs to be thoda attentive and pay heed to warnings, if any, just for the sake of it.
 
Crowd:
Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) has a 50% minority quota for Sindhi, so the cream crowd is very much expected. Decent people from good families are expected here. As it is located in the heart of the city, there are students from Central, South, Northern suburbs and Navi Mumbai. General life as such is a very happy-go-lucky types.
 
Canteen:
Food is good and edible. So if you forget your dabba at home, sometimes it's a delight. Comparatively, a very big area and so doesn’t cause much suffocation, even during the peak hours of lunch time.
 
Hangouts:
Just at the corner of Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is JAY sandwich, the most famous amongst all of the sandwich-wallah's in the town. McDonald's, KFC, Barista, Bombay (Mumbai) Blues, Red Box, Natural, Subway are other good options with Bandstand and Carter Road as ultimate hotspot. Chappals, branded (read fake) clutches, handbags and exiciting accessories makes this are a huge hit, especially for girls. Guys, too, get their share. 
 
Festivals:
The annual intra collegiate event of Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is called Avalanche and is usually held in October. This is done primarily to provide an opportunity for the freshers in college to participate and get to know the college and their seniors better.
